The former president's Granddaughter Receives Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut
The rising star boasts substantial social media following
The young golfer will have numerous prominent cheerleaders when she makes her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to play at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, owns numerous golf courses and frequently competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she stated.
Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa basically told me to play and have fun," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA standings.
However she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with her mother.
"He stands as the best player in the world," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He advised me to go out there, relax, and go with whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several top competitors in professional golf at the Annika, such as world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence brings golf to wider groups, specifically among younger fans.
The social media influencer boasts a massive following and has started her own clothing and lifestyle label.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
