Two Men Face Charges Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault
Two men have been charged related to a suitcase robbery where a suspected irritant spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after exiting a car park lift, authorities reported.
A young child was one of the people hurt in the event. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
